▪︎In India , the National Dengue Day is Observed every year on 16 May.
▪︎The day is an initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, to raise awareness about dengue and its preventive measures, and preparedness for the control of the Vector - borne disease before the transmission season begins.
▪︎Dengue is spread through the bite of the female mosquito ( Aedes aegypti ) .
